6 weeks ago, the TF2.FR staff and I announced a kind of unexpected cup :
the great inter-community tournament. If you are not aware, the main goal of this tournament was to gather
8 of the biggest french communities together around Team Fortress 2 in the highlander mode (9 vs 9, each class is played). After many games and many deaths, it is time to put an end to this successful struggle ! So, allow me to introduce you the final ranking :
1st :
TF2.FR
2nd :
Canard PC
3rd :
Jv.com
4th :
Malucos
5th :
Star Wars Team
6th :
NoLife
7th :
Battle Royale
8th :
TnT
The
TF2.fr team so wins this tournament without losing any game and by beating the
CanardPC team in the finals. Congratulations to them, they earn lots of pride and hats. The
CPC team may also congratulate itself for its performance ! Those 2 will also fight
a second time soon, so the ones who missed the finals can see how intense it was ! As for the game between the
Malucos team and the
Jv.com team in order to get to the third place, the latter won without even fighting, because their opponents couldn't be ready on time. But in spite of that, the
Malucos team still wishes to fight the
jv.com team, how nice !
In the "amateur" tree,
Star wars team's jedis managed to get rid of the
Nolife team in the "amateur" finals and get to the 5th place, with happiness and sportsmanship, as always ! As for the 7th place, the
Battle Royale team made it against the
TnT team !
Anyway, here is the final tree of the tournament : [url=http://www.tf2fr.com/forum/index.php/topic,12667.0.html]

Special thanks.
No end shall be put without thanking the ones who deserve it. First of all, I would like to thank
the 8 communities, which trusted me and played the games as I wanted them to be played (that is to say : with sportsmanship and happiness). Organising this tournament was a real pleasure, even though the idea came on the fly. I would also like to thank everybody who took part in this tournament, like the hat givers, spectators or even the people who helped me so everything could work. Thanks to the TF2.FR community for supporting the project, thanks to
TF2Connexion,
TFHQ,
Steam France and all the other TF2 sites which have talked about it, actively taking part to the success of the tournament.
It has been a great summer, I wish you a smooth return to work and/or school !
Choun.
